Another adoption trip to Russia, in 2002, under much better circumstances politically. Russian sentiments following 9/11 were quite sympathetic to American concerns. This song was written for my son, Elijah, inspired by the stunning view from the Hotel Ukraine in Moscow as the city lights began to shine.
